Jo has spent over 20 years in the recruitment industry, with experience varying from high level industry recruiting through international agencies to independent recruitment services. Her success across a wide variety of industries, particularly within technical and specialty roles, has proven her as an invaluable addition to any recruiting process.
Though she began her career in Accounting, Jo went out on a whim and tried her hand at recruiting, which led to many accomplishments in an industry where her ability to form strong, loyal candidate and client relationships has flourished.
With her most recent experience prior to Blackman Mansfield heavily focused on technical and executive roles, Jo excels in her ability to understand and communicate specialised requirements and skill sets. It is this depth of knowledge and attentiveness to detail which allows her to truly comprehend an organisation’s culture and find skilled candidates that perfectly complement it.
She undertakes a contemporary, efficient and personalised approach, and utilizes a combination of her extensive networks plus social media and technology platforms to ensure her clients are receiving the top talent for their role.

Melanie Mansfield is a co-founder and Director of Blackman Mansfield Recruitment.
For the past 15+ years she’s been helping Manager’s and Business Owner’s navigate the challenging (and often frustrating!) process of hiring staff and source the cream of the crop in talent for their teams.
Melanie’s recruitment career started in the office support area where she placed a number of Administrators, PA/EA’s, Office Manager’s and Accounting support staff. She then moved into a role where she specialised in placing staff in the community and not-for-profit sector, including Management and Senior Management staff.
In recent years, Melanie’s breadth of recruitment experience has expanded to include; Marketing, IT and Procurement. It’s this diversity and the opportunity to learn about a range of industries (some of her personal fav’s include; Food & Wine, Manufacturing and Defence) that keeps Melanie passionate about what she does.
With a consultative, engaging and honest approach, Melanie works tirelessly to achieve the best outcome for her clients and candidates and over the years has built many long-lasting relationships.
When she’s not scouring for exceptional candidates or wrangling her two kids, Mel can be found pounding the pavement along the Esplanade at Brighton, enjoying a Sav Blanc at a local winery or escaping to the Fleurieu for the weekend.
Nerys is a Recruitment Consultant at Blackman Mansfield Recruitment, specializing in the placement of staff in medical/clinical and administrative roles.
Having worked in the dental industry for more than 20 years, Nerys has experience in general, surgical and many specialties of dentistry in both private and public sectors. She has managed multi-site private practices and has extensive knowledge of all facets of practice operations including the day-to-day management of a clinical environment.
Nerys has successfully recruited clinical and administrative staff for the dental industry for many years and has an excellent knowledge of what is required in this environment. Combining this knowledge together with her exceptional communication and customer service skills, Nerys is the perfect recruitment professional to assist you with your clinical/medical/admin staffing needs.
Her high attention to detail and personable nature ensures the recruitment process is as simple as possible for all involved.
When Nerys isn’t working, she is driving her two daughters to netball and music commitments and is forever trying to read a book without interruption!
Amy Hein is the Administrative Assistant at Blackman Mansfield Recruitment.
Currently studying Marketing at the University of South Australia, Amy supports Jo and Mel with general administration, marketing, event coordination and is the go-to for any office or tech-related task.
Amy has a passion for organisation, strong attention to detail, exceptional writing and editing skills and a bubbly personality which you may run into over email or the phone.
When she isn’t surrounded by university course work, Amy loves to sing, and is often performing throughout Adelaide and the Adelaide Hills.
