The Organisation

The Australia Day Council of South Australia (ADCSA) is an independent, non-profit, membership-based association located in Adelaide’s CBD. The organisation exists to celebrate our identity and the values that unite us and to promote a welcoming, inclusive society.

The ADCSA hosts major events and Awards programs that focus on Australia Day and the stories that surround our national identity, together with highlighting the achievements of inspirational Australians.

The Role

The newly created position of Awards Coordinator is being offered on a part time (15 hours per week) two-year contract basis and is responsible for the coordination of the Australia Day Council of SA Award programs.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the nomination and selection process for various high-profile award programs
  • Researching potential opportunities to align the ACDSA with existing award programs
  • Building and maintaining relationships with partners and other stakeholders
  • Project management
  • General administration

About You

To be successful in this unique and highly rewarding role, you will be community focused with a genuine interest in learning about inspiring Australians and the work of the ACDSA.

A skilled coordinator with well-developed project management skills, you’re someone who enjoys managing your own workload and can juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities seemingly effortlessly.

Detail oriented and an effective communicator, you take a proactive approach to your work and you genuinely enjoy working within a small team where you can be hands on.

Previous experience overseeing award programs or engagement within award programs is advantageous, however more important will be proven project management skills and program coordination (ideally with a community-type focus).
